His only remaining work is ‘The Complete Poetry’ in the form of a manuscript consisting of lyrics, odes, quintets, quatrains, refrains and couplets. He is indebted to Hafez and Saadi in lyric while in couplet he follows Nezami. He has structural innovations in his poetry and is unrivaled among his contemporaries in the creation of new phrases and terms. While composing his lyrics and couplet poems in special language of poetry, he was also interested in using the common language of the people. He composed poetry in Turkish too, that is likely his mother tongue.
